Prescalers: Prescalers are used in any system where the battery voltage will exceed 50 Volts. A prescaler is more than just a voltage dividing resistor. It's a fault protection device and was designed primarily for EV (electric vehicle) and 48V systems. There are two types of prescalers available, depending on the application. When using a prescaler, you simply wire it per the included instructions and then change the meter's program to correct the display. Piece-of-cake!

RS-232 Data Stream Output: Updated once per second, 9600 8 N 1, comma delimited ASCII text reporting:
Time stamp, net kwhrs, amps, volts, ahrs, Peukert ahrs, Peukert amps, time remaining, bar graph/low batt. Contact status, batter temp (when optional probe is active).
Output text is comma delimited fields, CR/LF delimited records suitable Excel, dBase, Lab Views, etc.
