OutBack FX2000 Sine Wave Inverter

Today, your application may require only a single FX2000, but as your needs grow, you can connect up to seven additional FX2000s at any time to grow your system as your needs increase.

Designed for either stand-alone or utility-interactive applications, OutBack's new generation of power inverter is rated at 2000 watts continuous output. Each FX2000 inverter/charger is a complete power conversion system, comprising a DC to AC inverter, a battery charger and an AC transfer switch. OutBack gives you the flexibility to design your system to meet any specific power requirement. Up to eight FX2000s can be connected (stacked) in a variety of series/parallel configurations for 120 VAC, 240 VAC (split phase) or 120Y208 VAC (three phase) output for a total of 16,000 watts of AC power! A 50 Hz export version will be available soon for 230 VAC or 230Y400 VAC (three phase) applications.

The FX2000 is designed to survive the most difficult environments. The unique die-cast aluminum chassis functions as a heat exchanger to cool the sensitive electronics without the need to circulate outside air through the inverter. The die-cast aluminum case is gasketed and completely sealed against moisture intrusion and is impervious to the most tenacious earthbound life forms thus eliminating most of the major causes of inverter failure. The FX2000 can be used in high ambient temperatures to 60°C (with reduced output ratings).

OutBack Mate Remote Display and Control Panel

The MATE is able to connect, monitor and control up to ten OutBack devices. The Mate connects to multiple OutBack inverters or controllers through a communication hub using ethernet type cabling and RJ45 "phone" jacks. The Mate also incorporates a real-time clock/calendar to allow time-of-day programmed operations and an 4 line by 80 character backlit display to view multiple measurements at the same time and ease programming. Also included with the Mate is an RS232 data output for computerized data-logging. OutBack is currently working towards a Windows based graphical user interface for data-logging and internet connectivity.
